Hunter Renfrow Secures $32,000,000 Extension

with Las Vegas Raiders

Hunter Renfrow was a star with the Las Vegas Raiders in his third season. He had 1,038 receiving yards, nine touchdowns and 103 catches. Renfrow and Raiders agreed to a $32,000,000 extension. Renfrow will remain in town for at most two more years.

While it may not seem like much to you, the 26-year old Clemson student, who was selected in the 5th Round of the 2019 NFL Draft, has been a consistent member of the offense. He posted just under 2300 receiving yards on 208 receptions his first three seasons and continues to grow in his role.

Hunter Renfrow is one of the best wide receivers in the league.

Renfrow has been a leading route runner in the league for many years. His trust in Derek Carr and his chemistry with him continues to grow. The Raiders' off-season has been very productive, thanks to this deal. The Raiders were also able make a huge trade to sign Davante Adam, an ex-Packer player and All-Pro wideout. This addition makes the Raiders offense look poised for a leap into the top five of the league.

It is essential to draft well and extend wideouts in the new pass-happy league. This league has a growing priority, and it is getting more expensive. Renfrow was a perfect example of how the Raiders built from the bottom. Raiders have surrounded Renfrow by elite pros like Davante Adam and tight end, Darren Waller. Raiders are creating an offense specifically for the 2022 NFL. This is made even more evident when you look at their division and see teams like the Patrick Mahomes-led Chiefs. Russell Wilson will lead the Broncos, and their offense is going to look very different. Renfrow is not a household name, however the chain moving machine is a match made in heaven with Superstar Davante. Adams and Renfrow are also very popular. To say the Raiders had an "excellent" off-season is a huge understatement.
